As many Amelia Island residents know, John Grisham the best selling author of The Firm, The Pelican Brief and other novels, purchased an oceanfront lot on South Fletcher Avenue on Amelia Island in 2010. Shortly after that he purchased the lot next door which had an older beach home on it. Using both lots, an oceanfront home and what apears to be a studio above a garage continue to be under construction. The roof is now being installed, a new beach walkover was recently completed and some palm trees have already been planted. The same Tupelo Mississippi addressee has also puchased two ocean view lots directly on the west side of South Fletcher Avenue.
